I can not help my busy mind, it is part of who I am.
I see an image and a debate begins within.
Does this picture represents how I choose to observe my MS, Multiple Sclerosis:

Could I be ...

Am I failing cat, who tenanious perseveres - and the current dilemma is just another challenger to overcomer or am I...

or Am I the smart bird who not only escaped the Predictory Kitty, despite all expectations. No obstacle is impossible...
some are just more challenging.

Make Someone smile today

If someone has been helpful I make sure I thank them.
People are better people when they know they are appreciciated.
Paul, a very helpful assistanct at the Virgin store in Croydon gave some very good advice.

He lost a sale because it but he done an incredilly good deed for me and my other half. Because of his honesty, I contact Virgin by phone and saved £10 per month on the rental
and the cancellation fee was reduced from £125 to £61.

All because of a honest opinion. Thank you Paul.
Today I popped back with a small gesture, but everone love Maltesers (don't they) When I benefit because of somebody's kindness of nature, I like them to know it is apprciated.

He was initially apprehensive, when I insisted i wanted to speak to him when another member of staff asked if they could help.
Our brief conversation ended with him shaking my hand and wearing a smile.

Thank you  is such an easy way to make someone smile.

Focus on my Niche and then WOW epiphany strikes...

In the beginning the word was Niche, Just ONE Niche. Focus on that ONE NICHE..... well I have to admit I was struggling. I needed to pick a Niche, something that is relevant for me and i have some passion, for which I could supply plenty of content . What content would i consider?

Niche considering and its relevance to me.Quality content I could supply and enjoy sharingCould it be relevant content and information for another Niche!
Multiple SclerosisExpert web information
You tube of others
My own video
I have no option but to make this significant it is part of who I am.
Yoga especially adapted gives insight into living my own personal nasty for all the below reasons.
YogadittoIt is so relevant:
Philosophy
Breathe and pain
Peace of Mind
Physical benefits
Adapted YogadittoMultiple sclerosis and any other nasties that are intending to put a barrier in our life affect us
Various CharitiesdittoSupport for yoga, Multiple sclerosis and any other nasties that can affect us.
I have links with MS Society
http://www.yoga-health-education.org.uk/
and many more reputable charities,
Community info sharingdittoAs affiliate links. You tube google analytics more....
News Flash… perhaps quick video
Me!dittoDiverse quirky unique individual for which all possible Niches are relevant.
That only leaves one option
FOCUS

My epiphany – I have focused!
I am ME and that uniquely qualifies me for my Niche of Adapted Yoga. I can explain EVERYONE can benefit from yoga, even they THINK they cannot because of their disability or someone apparent sensible excuse. My Niche will have a tendency to be directed by the needs specifically of the Multiple Sclerosis community – my diagnosis dictated it and was the reason I discovered the joys and peace of YOGA.
I want to share the small details of my yoga knowledge to share the benefits I have discovered through practice or contact with other MSers who are equally keen yogis. I have the intention to talk to expect opinions from Doctors, therapist, various charities, the news and MOST importantly the many informed people available on social media.

How not to be nervous ...

Wednesday I was on my way to yoga at The Special Yoga Centre. It is good to have some yoga with others when you are not the teacher. I was going to be a few minutes and so I sent my teacher Leah,

It takes about one and half hours to get there, an hour class, and the same journey home. Perfectly OK with me, I can just sit, read the free papers and do the Suduko, read a book and have some quality me time. of course, it does not always go to plan.

Leah rang me as I was on the last part of my journey, almost at the centre and explained she was going to be later. Could I start the class, naturally I said Yes of course. Naturally I though O M G.....

I did not have enough time to suffer with my usual nerves. I arrived, took a deep breathe. Apologised   Leah's behalf and confidently advised Leah would be joining us shortly and I am only preparing us for the practice. They had no idea how much I hoped my statement was sincerely accurate.

I then asked the standard is anybody new yoga or does anyone have any conditions or pains I should no about. So naturally, on my day when I was busy bluffing confidence there was a newbie who had scoliosis and was a teenage with all the associate teen problems.  Ok I told a deep breathe and silently to myself thanks the universe for it's kind gift.

I got the class in Savasana with hand on their tummy and to observe their natural breathe for a few moments. I went to my student and told her that all she has to do is breath and she is practising yoga, if during the practice and she suffers pain or too much discomfort she should STOP and return to this relaxation pose.

I then continue with some joint loosening, breathe work, simple stretches and Leah arrived. She offered to take over immediately. No... let me finish my sequence and it will give you a chance to settle into class. After the bridge i returned the class to Savasana and there were a few giggles when I stated that magically their teacher was about to change. I told Leah about our teen yogi with specifics.

It helped my confidence tremendously as I listened to Leah giving instructions and advice that mirrored exactly my instruction... Thank goodness!  It has been the best solution for our new student because we both gave the same advice, reinforcing the teaching we gave.

To help my confidence and also to mentor my skills, Leah suggested we could do this more often. I naturally verbally agreed, even if mind was screaming..... No I am scared!

The universe had obviously decided my time was  NOW and knows the less time I have to prepare and plan, the less nervous I am. Even though I have not consciously prepared for the class my instinctive knowledge for was perfect for the moment.

There is lot in my life at the moment but this class was a valuable lesson.

With my very best intentions I wish you many smiles with much laughter.
Karen :-)
